This single parcel of Cabernet Sauvignon, which grows on the radiant slopes of the Sierra de L’Ombría, has been striving these past thirty years for a balance and a way to adapt to the Spanish climate. It has succeeded. These grapes from this privileged valley of Valencia demonstrate perfect ageing attributes and are cared for 22-24 months in French Taransaud oak barrels with diligent attention paid to the lees.
Intense garnet colour with the essence of menthol notes on the nose mixed with blackcurrant fruit and a range of wild red forest fruit aromas. Generous and seductive palate, cascading flavours offering a nice warm touch of spices mixed with redcurrant and a hint of liquorice. The mouth-feel is smooth and creamy all around, with an expansive finish displaying well-integrated soft tannins, which will ensure long ageing.
